I have registered several of mine, not all cause i have forgot about it. I always thought it would be cool to see where the serial number before and after could be. If i had someones great granddads tractor and that person wanted to see it i would be more than happy to show them or tell them how i found it.
I also nerd out cause i have a spreadsheet that has 1 tab per tractor, contains serial number, purchase price, who and where i bought it from, day i bought it, tire sizes, and any repairs i have done and its price. When mother deere had build date information at the pavillion for free, i put in all my serial numbers and took a picture of the screen, that information is also on my spreadsheet.
I update that spreadsheet and push it to my phone cause i am always looking for sequential serial number tractors at auctions, and i have 1 tab just for tire sizes so when it comes to tired on auctions, i know for sure if i need that size instead of guessing and relying on a memory that seems to fade a bit more everyday..
