The 73 Plymouth Satellite I used to have had three on the tree and it had to be in reverse in order to pull the key or use the accessories position to listen to the radio without the car running. Several times while I was sitting in the car listening to the radio in accessory position someone would walk up to my window to remind me my backup lights were on. For awhile I contemplated putting a toggle switch in the backup light feed wire to shut the, off when needed.
