For Halloween one year I made 6 foot dummy out of 2x4s, put on an old coat, pants, boots, wig, and for face used a monster mask from Walmart. I set it out in front of the house near the mailbox pushing an old lawnmower. Afterwards I brought it in the garage and propped it up in a corner beside the electric panel, just covered it up with a few boards and forgot about it.
A few years later the telephone repairman came to troubleshoot the phone not working. I had completely forgotten about the dummy in the corner. He traced the phone lines into corner beside the panel and saw that dummy, jumped back about 10 feet and said, "What the H-LL is that?"
