We were reminded of Green and his books this week by the tale of 77 year-old British cowboy Michael H. Johnson, who has been after a herd of wild Scottish Highland cattle for two months. The cows once belonged to a neighboring family but 16 of them have been roaming freely for about two years. He�s trapped seven head so far, and he�s had the others in a trap briefly. Johnson says the herd only comes out at night, but they eat hay in the neighborhood, knock over fences and trample gardens."
