I think a lot of fellows feel the same way. If you've spent ten thousand hours on a machine and it seldom let you down, it becomes like an old friend. On the other hand, I bought an old Massey from the original owner--he had it for over 60 years and it was the last piece of farming equipment he had left. His son and nephews farmed on the same farm and had used it over the years and it was in excellent condition--just had no use for it. I did have to convince the owner that it was going to a good home and wouldn't be modified. I have a JD that my Dad bought new in 1973 and I bought from him in 1983, and it ain't leaving the farm before I do...
