this old brooder house is down the road from us. I was talking to the owner of it,and he told me some history of it.It came from a farm two houses up the road. The owner of it was going to tear it down. The neighbor that owns it now,,told him I ll give you 100 dollars for it if you move it to my place. Now he told me some history. It was a kit building, sold at a local mill. When you bought chicks, you were able to buy this building kit. The walls are filled with sawdust for insulation. It was very interesting to hear this story.i learn something new everytime I stop and see this man.If you remember the story of the firewood pile and a sad man waiting for his grandchildren to stop by and help him stack wood,,this is the same man,I couldnt help but think what his grandchildren are missing out on.They never come to see him, always busy with sports.
