around here where I grew up every farm had an AC pull behind combine all of them were pto powered that I seen spent a lot of time working them in the fields wheat, barley, rye and clover is what most grew here then very little corn and no one I knew did beans once the self propelled combines started to become more prevalent in our area then they switched over to more corn and beans and less grains
from what I remember they were good units there's a guy a couple miles from me with a nice looking one for sale I've been thinking about buying it but other than taking it to shows I have no use for one at the moment
if they were mine I would make it pto driven and sell the B motor
