I was repeating a comment I had heard within the last year that some breeding programs were supposed to be aiming at lesser body weight with a shorter stature to reduce injury incidence on concrete along with less energy needed to maintain a higher body weight. I don't milk cows and have not been around them for a while so I don't get any industry magazines to know if this comment is on the money.
