Back in the early 70's my friend had a 65 Ford 150 short bed with a 352 and a 4 speed. Friday and Saturday nights would involve squealing tires as often as possible while cruising downtown Greeley, Co. The local CO-OP was also a Bandag re-capper. My friend and I would spin those tires down to the cords, then go back behind the CO-OP and dig thru the pile of tires awaiting recapping. Upon finding a pair of suitable sized tires, a trip back to the farm and changing them out plus another tank of tax free gas and off we went for another hour of trying to impress everyone!
