Trouble shoot then parts never the other way around. First thing to do is make sure you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more from the center distributor cap wire. Then make sure you have the same spark at all 4 plug wires. If you have that then pull the carb drain plug and make sure you have a good steady flow of gas that will fill a pint jar in 3 minutes or less. Also when was the last time you serviced the air cleaner?? If the oil bath part of it is full or water and mud they do not work well
