I hate to see bears killed. If there's a bear hunt on an outdoor show,I change the channel. My wife's sister and brother in law go to Gatlinburg and rent a cabin once a year or so and from the stories they tell,it's a wonder you don't hear stories of bears killing kids though. Sonny said there'll be people who'll take their kids outside when they see a bear,and try to see just how close they can get to it. There was a finalist for the Darwin Award in northern Michigan a year or two ago who was lucky to have survived. He took KFC up in his tree stand. The cubs went up after it and he tried to kick them down. Mama went up and settled the scrap. He was pretty beaten up when she got done with him.
