: any way to seal a gas tank from the inside. tank seep where nounting brackets ar attached. Hi Michael, I have heard of a few cases where a temporary fix was done without removing the tank. The best way is to cote the inside of the tank with a sealer. Eastwood restoration products has a very good tanksealer that is compatible with diesel or gas. You do have to remove the tank and clean the inside. They also sell a cleaner to get it clean. On a tank that I had that was in bad shape, I cut a hole in it with a cutting wheel and sandblasted the inside and brazed up all of the holes I could see and then brazed up the acess hole. The sealer turns to a sort of procelin. You have to keep turning the tank to coat the inside of it and make the sealer cure. This stuff works great and it won't allow it to rust. Good Luck, Keith
