Glad to hear from you again. It is not all fun running your own business but it can be rewarding. You seem to have chosen to get bigger in the trucking. We decided to get out of the trucking. The regulations for having drivers was just too much work for just 2-3 hired drivers. So we needed to get bigger or quit. So we quit. We still have two trucks and grain hoppers but sold the step decks an belt trailers. There also is getting to be less money in the farm commodity hauling as many farmers have their own semis that they will run for nothing to justify owning them. I can hire corn hauled out of my bins for $50 more than the fuel cost me. This is a 950 bushel load hauled 90 miles one way. They say they need to go get feed anyway. So this year we only have hauled our corn to the bins with the trucks.
