I've just started a small farm - 4 acres, though I'll only be planting one of them for this next year, I need to keep my regular job to stay afloat. I've been looking for walking tractors, and recently came across a BCS 850 with a 14hp diesel motor and a 30" tiller, 32" mower, hiller/furrower and quick hitch attachment. It's not currently working but the lady that's selling it (I think it was her husband's and he's recently passed) doesn't know much about it except that she's been told it's a good machine by the mechanic in town. The attachments have only been used twice. She wants $2350 for the lot. I don't know much about them, but am fine with spending the winter getting it cleaned up and learning about how to fix it. The question is - does that seem like a good deal? Are they reasonably easy to work on?
