When I was a kid, the folks had a beautiful German Shepard. By the time he was about a year old or so, he started chasing cars that went by the farm. The farm yard was about 50 yards from the road. The dog could hear them coming and would run to the road ready for the chase. Dad got his brother to drive by with a nasal spray bottle filled with ammonia. The dog did his thing and uncle gave him a shot. Never chased cars again. There was a horse he didn't like, just one out of about 20, and he chased an fought with the horse many times. Never got kicked that I knew of though the horse sure tried. Maybe they were just playing least it kept them both in shape.
