The fuel mileage, or cost of fuel thing goes way back. In the seventies, during the infamous "gas crisis", I was reading a boating magazine one day while waiting for a haircut. There was a feature article on a new yacht from some company. The reporter asked the company representative if they were concerned that the sudden increase in fuel prices would hurt sales. The company representative replied that if a body could afford to purchase this yacht, they would not be concerned about fuel prices!
