I just sold my D4D because of lack of use. I plan to rent as well, now that I'm retired I can make good use of a rental dozer on a one week rental. Owned a TD-14, TD-18, and the D4D. Old dozers use parts. You have to spend time to repair them and they are slow. And when you break a final drive you are in for expense. I hate renting but renting a dozer is the way to go IMHO.
