Serial number 1000 was the first H, built October 29, 1938, tested and later scrapped.
Quite a number of "Hs" (actually serial number plates) were scrapped including about a hundred right at the start of production. This was because the company had second thoughts about the cast alloy crankshaft that was used in tractors through serial number 1103, so decided to replace them with a forged steel crankshaft, and provide the tractors with a new serial plate and later number at the same time.
