I have a JD 70D Standard and the low range reduction gears are bad and need to be replaced. I have the top cover off where the shifter quaderant is located. All the bearing seem to be good because the high range is on the same shaft and runs smooth. I need to know if you can get the shaft out of the right side of the tractor by removing the clutch housing and main reduction gear housing. Or do I have to remove the flywheel and remove the left side or both. Just need a little more insite because I don't have a book and don't want to tear up any more than I have to.
