Can't get parts for some of the older ones so just how are you going to fix it? Plus some guys have never been in a transmission so fixing includes a shop visit that can get real expensive real quick.
I think AC has the worst reputation for popping out of gear. Mostly on the 100 (185 190 ECT) series and older to include the W's and WDs. Mostly operator induced from shifting on the go. So if I were in the market for a tractor that an inexperienced operator was going to be using towing something AC would definitely not be considered.
And just about any abused tractor from any manufacturer can jump out of a gear or 2.
