I knew that male mosquitoes feed on nectar, but I don't know about all female mosquitoes. Of course we all wish they all fed exclusively on flowers.
Today's trivia:
There are, however, a few mosquito species where the female does not feed on blood, but consumes nectar like the male. Their larvae are predatory and attack and eat the smaller larvae of blood feeding mosquitoes.
