Agree about the concave discs on it. That more or less destroys the purpose of vertical tillage. That said, this is the first Salford I've seen with concave discs. The one we're running here is an RTS 1100 and it's got two rows of 1.5" wavy coulters and 2 rows of 1.75" wavy coulters followed by the tine harrow and chopping baskets. It does a surprisingly good job, even in a certain degree of burned sod although it can take a few passes if it's tough. What it does not do is move much ground around which can be a blessing or a curse. It is a dream to work in rocky fields tho. No rock stuck in the gangs of a conventional disc...
