I held the solenoid the one on the starter yesterday and it sure did feel like it was chattering but yes there is also right above that solenoid a what looks like another solenoid or some such thing. If all goes well I'll be there today and will try the R terminal on the alternator and unhook it and may try a wire from battery side of main starter solenoid to the motor terminal on the starter and see if I can make it spin over
