Are you saying the wires are fried, as in overheated? Or the insulation is falling off from old age or rodent damage? Big difference!
If the wires have overheated at the switch, or any where, that is a sign of a bad connection, a short, or overloaded circuit. The switch is likely bad and will need to be replaced and the damaged wire replaced.
If the entire harness is failing, a new harness can be bought or a new one made.
Be careful bypassing anything! Every wire has a purpose, making changes will create a problem somewhere, end up with mystery battery drain, safety issues, even electrical fire!
