1 How much fuel is in the tank? Both my 1550 diesels if they get low on fuel will run really funny.
2 Check the fuel hose from the finial filter to injector pump I had one go bad.
3 On top of the injector pump (return fuel line) there is a fitting that has a glass ball or a wiggle wire in that fitting that if it gets plugged will make it run as you have describe. If the fitting has the glass ball or the wiggle wire in it ether replace the fitting with a strait threw open fitting or remove the glass ball (bust it with a small punch) or remove the wiggle wire clean and put back on and start the tractor and see how it runs. These are cheep things to check and easy to try to see if it works. Bandit
