OK, in the first place what many here miss is that someone who grows up in city area with absolutely no exposure to the farm industry has no idea about any of it. I grew up in Red Bank NJ. I knew about farming because that's what my dad wanted to do when he retired and we had several farm magazines delivered each month. But my dad, who loved a good joke had most of the neighborhood kids convinced that you milked a cow by pumping thee tail and that you got ice cream by putting the cow out in the cold before you pumped it's tail. This was back in the 60's. But you take a kid who's never been in a city and they know nothing about city life. Jokes are told about both the dumb country boy and stupid city dweller.
