Ya know i just love this T/A eliminator thing as they almost cost what the T/A cost and around here a Farmall or I H tractor is worth about two grand less . I have tractors still out there working every day on dairy farms with T/A's that i installed thirty years ago or better . The T/A in our 1066 is just now starting to slip and it has been in there for about 25 years and the only reason that it is going out is due to one hired hand that thought that you used it to slow down while being pushed by a 30000 lb load of silage down a steep hill on one of the back roads or using it to slow down while coming up on a stop sign . I saw him do it and jumped all over him about it and his response was well I THOUGHT that it was easier then usen the brakes . IF and again i said IF you do not use it as a means of breaking you keep ALL adjustment up in spec. and you keep Clean OIL AND FILTERS in it THEY DO NOT GO OUT WHEN INSTALLED CORRECTLY . Years back i tryed selling a couple NICE non T/A tractors to satisfy the cry baby's that always complained at the sales that IF THAT FARMALL DID NOT HAVE A T/A in it i would have bought it , OK so i provided them with a nice 1066 with a factory non T/A and a super nice 856 with factor NON T/A . THE SAME GUYS WITH THE BIG MOTHS that always complained about the T/a's were the biggest B- itcher that the tractors did not have a T/A and were totally worthless . Around here weather your working ground or pulling wagons on the road it is a vary handy item to get you thru the hard spot or up over that hill with pout stopping at the bottom and trying to decide what gear will get you and the load to the top with out spinning out or running out of pony power.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
