Hi For what a proper tree guy would call a $50 saw Echo gets my vote. Dad always ran Poulans. What a pile of junk they were, I never did like them. Poor starting hot or cold . re tighten the chains every 4 mins use, had 3 of them and dad started building 1 from 3 in the end. He never left it near the tractor long enough for me to run it overwhile he was using it. Finally it died on it's own :-). He went a bought an Echo on offer i used it twice and love it. It starts easy from cold or hot, the chain stays tight to for longer. The real test will be - 40 oc when I cut the frozen hog manure from the barn rear entrance during clean out, this winter with it. The poulan really didn't like that and the cold. I have high hopes of the echo from my limeted use, Dad doesn't mention his beloved dearly departed poulan so much any more either L.O.l.
