Thanks Cole. This is a used replacement transmission that has been in this thing for twenty years or so. The factory tranny was the same tranny but it seized in gear and was stuck in that gear only. When this one was put in we had a hard time finding
it. Evidently not many were made. Low gear on this one is a little faster than the granny gear was in most of the four speed pickup trannies of that time and first gear is synchronized on this one. It's still drivable but I'd like to get it fixed fairly soon. I'm dreading pulling it out because that full time cast iron cased transfer case is heavy and awkward.
