Lay them out on the ground and drive a tire on top of the chains. That might give you an idea whether they are the correct width. To figure the length, mark a spot on the ground and tire. Drive the tractor forward until the mark on the tire is in the same place as it was before you moved the tractor. Measure how far the wheel traveled, and that will give you an approximate length the chains need to be.
