I had 2 big issues today.
The starter started to not crank fast enough to get stable signal to start engine with distributor timing wheel. This was the spare starter that I painted up for the show, it has mucked up the flywheel also. I have a good ring gear that I will change out this winter and put a Goldberg gear reduction starter on then.
I had laid the extra wires from the computer out of the way. With all the messing around the last few days, it appears the wires got into the driveshaft. It tore the wire connector out of the computer and wrapped all the wires around the driveshaft. The only funny thing was I watched the wire loom on the engine go past me really fast, then it killed.
I am taking it down for the winter. It will come back up with new starter, ring gear, hydraulic pump and the rear main seal fixed.
