my daughter raised a goat for 4H fair project one year so we had another one for company. I had never been around goats before and they are definitely escape artists and also very smart. We came home lots of days to the 2 goats out eating leaves off the apple tree. Watched the shorter goat one day push a dog crate over next to the building then jup on the crate and hit his shoulder on the wall and go over the fence. they were definitely funny guys. Sorry for your loss
