We had finished housing tobacco the day before so I was having an easy morning.I had put on my work boots and was ready to go outside,but something compelled me to go into the living room and turn on the tv.I normally would not go into the living room with my boots,but as I watched the tv I stood in the corner by the woodstove.I was so mesmerized I stood still for an hour,and finally sat on the couch and watched for another hour or too.Then I called my wife at her work.I remember feeling awful. When Kennedy was shot, I was in 2nd grade and they played it over the intercom from the radio.I did not understand much significance at the time of that due to my age.Mark
