Last summer there was an active hive near the entrance to a power plant, more nuisance than harm, but people often scare of bees and wasps, so they called a bee keeper out. He set up a nest next to their nest and somehow got the queen to move to his nest. After a couple of days, he blocked access to their original nest, and after most of the bees moved into his nest, he moved them away.
I try to be nice to honey and bumble bees, and am starting to see more and more honey bees returning. Bumble bees have never dwindled by me. Wasps don't bother me either. Hornets and yellow jackets though...
