Coming into my neighbors farm, driving from the comunity turnip patch,I pass this little corn crib. The other day,I stopped to take a picture of it. The story is probably better than the picture. My neighbor is in his fortys now.He built this corn crib with his grandfather. When my neighbor was a toddler, his dad got killed in a trailer truck accident. His grandfather raised him on this farm. They did everyhing together. They built this crib, his grandfather teaching him how to use tools and many other things. Then Im sure he got corn for helping work around the farm, and raised an animal and fed it his corn. The grandfather was a great man. When I was 12 I would stay with him and his wife for a week, and my neighbors mom,who was 15 or 16 at the time,,would come to nj and stay with my mom and dad. I learned a lot from his grandfather in those summer weeks. Now that my neighbor is in his fortys he still farms the land his grandfather did ,and more.I would say he graduated from the best school ever.
