I get what you are saying. So ..... I've noticed around the left side of petcock there is oil leaking there also but no bad it just builds up around the lever and " black black " just like what's coming out from underneath the pully? This may or may not be it. I also have had some trouble out of my the fuel tank.... Old varnish like stuff built up, it's made mess of the sed bowel and I'm sure the line to and carb ..... I did notice when looking into the reduction housing around the belt pully after removing the clutch that the oil was golden inside seeing that it is (new) but the oil coming out of the hole underneath the pully was jet black lile same as around petcock.
