You see a few rv's out yet in November for deer hunting season, but as mentioned, November can be a crazy month weather wise. I can remember opening deer hunting days (first Saturday in Nobember) that it was almost -20 sitting on a stand early morning, other years have been t-shirt weather by afternoon. If a hotel is an option, it would be the best way to go so you don't have to worry about the weather. You'll have enough to focus on with your wife's medical care. I always have our fifth wheel camper winterized with antifreeze and parked inside for the winter by the first part of October. I am also 150+ miles north of Rochestor. That makes quite a difference in weather too.
