I live near the US/ Canadian border and I have had some experience with bringing machinery into the US. I would not advise anyone going into the French speaking areas of Canada with a car much less with a truck and trailer. You will be lost and you will get little help from the locals.
There is no problem leaving Canada but it will be with the US customs. They may require you to use a import broker and that means a fee so inquire ahead. My advice would be to have the tractor brought to the US before you load it. Even if you have a passport the Canadian border inspectors will run a background check on you and any passengers and if you have any kind of a bad record [DWI or minor conviction] they will not let you enter their country
