The conclusion of the lawyer was faulted; it is not only about past damages etc. The commissioner has been compromised and will be forever forward. There fore her decisions could potentially damage the public. Going forward there is the possibility of blackmail and sorts of devious moves by both parties. The affair could go on or turn sour with repercussions. Not good for the public treasury. If it is not good out in private industry why is it good in government? Good thing the commissioner doesn't work for the CIA. No secular laws will work with out some moral authority behind it; to forget that is to ignore history.
