All that counts is the law of the land? Do you agree that there is such a thing as public opinion?
When making personal decisions about your life, do you consult a legal expert to ensure that your "morality" is correct? Can the legal system address every area of public interaction or must some things be settled among the people without government involvement?
I'm not concerned about the specific case stated above, I am addressing the almost unanimous response on this thread that says private behavior doesn't matter.
