Local threshing show has pretty good luck holding over for 1 year. The hold over sits in a climate controlled shop (mine) that is air conditioned and heated plus a dehumidifier year around. Sits up on a shelf above the concrete floor. I try and usually succeed at making sure the hold over gets used first so it never gets over a year old.
Did use some year old stuff that had been stored in a Coop warehouse which I am sure wasn't climate controlled and it seemed to work ok also.
