The Theiman I drove probably made 10-12 MPH but it also felt dangerous at that speed with all the frame flex and hand operated brakes. Far as I know the gearing was the same for all of them but I could be wrong. They had a belt driven governor and I'm sure the governor can be messed with to up the engine speed. Yes it was a kit tractor with Theiman making a frame that was made to accommodate a Model A power train. If BigJT is reading this maybe he can chime in. He Knows a whole lot more about them than I do. He has a Theiman with a flathead V8 but I don't know if V8's were put in them from the factory or not. Theiman tractors were made in Albert City Iowa, my home town but production ended long before I came to this earth and I have never seen one in the field. We sometimes have up to a half dozen of them at our local threshing show.
