Was changing front brake pads on our 2008 Yaris when I noticed grease clumps sprayed on the right brake piston area. Yes I have a broken boot on the right side CV joint.
Have never changed a CV half shaft before. Really know little to nothing about them.
So is this something I can do myself without special tools? What does the job involve? How long do I have before I will be forced to act on the problem?
I have a air compressor with 1/2 and 3/4 air wrench; and normal tools. I might be able to rent any special tools needed.
