Ever stop to think how much heat gets reflected back into space by pavement, city streets, parking lots and office buildings??
I have always noticed that the Forsythia blooms as much as a week early in the cities, as compared to out in the country.
If they would accept reason, you could prove this factor by just laying out a thermometer and comparing grass to a black pavement parking lot, the calculate the surface area that is paved or built on. That is something that could be proven scientificially, not junk science like they do now.
