If you have not seen them before, Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum are worth adding an extra day to you trip. They are next to each other in Dearborn (off I-75 ?).
Porcupine Mountain State Park, Lake of the Clouds, Houghton Hancock area are all good. Somewhere on the south shore of the UP there is a 1800's copper smelting village that is very well done.
