If and when I sell out the farm with big old home and downsize (kids all gone long ago) you can bet my next home will be smaller, tighter and more energy efficient, including but not limited to earth sheltering,,,,,,,,,tons of insulation,,,,,,,,,,,,passive no maintenance relatively low cost PASSIVE Solar Heating,,,,,,,,,,,,Renewable energy heating,,,,,,,,,,,Solar Electric,,,,,,,,,,,possibly some Geo Thermal,,,,,,,,,,,other energy saving options left open and on the table TO GET THE MOST ENERGY SAVING BANG FOR THE BUCK OVER THE LONG HAUL.......
I'm NOT limiting myself to only one or two heating cooling and energy saving methods (I will thoroughly study and research and cost and payback study them all), others may do as they please and can afford. Their money their call
