I saw someone post on here something like "it made no difference", WELL THEY ARE WRONG. There's a reason the coil design engineers and manufacturers bother to design for and label those + and - terminals. If it made no difference they probably wouldn't bother with those labels. Sure, you still get a spark (even if less efficient) regardless, but I strongly advise you to wire it as suggested below. Still its a persons own tractor and their choice to wire it right or wrong as they choose.
