My brother in law was crowing about how his Duramax got 24 MPG on a trip. I questioned that and he got all defensive and told me the fuel gauge was at a c certain place when he left and it was at a c certain place when he got home and he estimated how many miles the trip was, therefore the mileage was 24! I have not owned a Duramax, it might be possible to attain 24 a few times but a person has to keep accurate records over the long run. A neighbor claims his was chipped and will get 22 if driven easily on a long trip
