Paul you are so right. Veggies are too perishable to be considered a sustainable source of protein. Corn and soybeans are not nearly as perishable as veggies and can be stored for future use to feed animals that provide us with an endless flow of protein. There is no way our globe can grow enough veggies to sustain our population. Oriental countries are closer to being vegan but they still get protein from fish and other animals we Americans won't touch. Meat is a necessity to sustain the human race. We can't deny it. Those who deny that fact have their heads in the sand, refusing to look at the whole picture of how our planet is fed.
