Do a Google search for "ECore filter problems". The "E" behind the ACDelco oil filter number "PF47E" tells me that you are using an ECore filter. They are actually made by the Champion Lab group and is owned by Rank, the same company that owns Fram. (Ironic that you won't use Fram, but your filter is actually made by Champ Labs, the same filter company owned by Rank/Fram) These are the same filters that WalMart uses when you get an oil change at your WalMart TLE store. These filters are why several of the new Corvettes have had catastrophic engine damage and you can Google that too. You can get better filters at a lower price online. Or, if you can find it, buy "PF47" filters, the number that does not have the "E" behind it. The PF47E will have an internal plastic tube. The PF47 has an inner steel tube.
